Motorola today officially announced the release of new Xoom tablets. Named expectedly as Xoom 2, the tablets come in two sizes. 10.1 inch and 8.2 inch. Both tablets feature 1.2 GHz dual core processors, 1 GB Memory, 16GB storage. The cameras are 5 and 1.3 megapixels. Both tablets take advantage of ultra protective and scratch resistant Gorilla Glass.
The rooCASE Executive Leather Portfolio Case for the Motorola XOOM tablet is a stylish and very red one. I am aware that this case does come in other colors, but I can’t see why a woman would want a case in any other color. What I like most about this case is that most people would not be able to tell that this is a tablet case. It looks more like a stylish red day planner. And like a day planner there are plenty of slots for business cards, credit cards and anything else I need to keep with me. The stand is a fantastic surprise feature and is great when there is nothing on the hotel television.

There were a few things I didn’t like about this case. For starters, the rooCASE is a bit on the bulky side. I guess this is due to all the storage it allows for, but there isn’t much room for anything else in my purse with it inside. Also, the stand is a bit soft and collapses fairly often. This isn’t a hug deal for me since I don’t use it very often and having to get up every once and a while to push it back upright isn’t the biggest inconvenience in the world.
If you yearn for the days of old where all you needed was a go getter attitude and your trusty day planner, then this is the case for you. It has room for all other things that I still need to run my business. I would definitely buy this again.

Before I purchased this I had read that some people has issues with how the webcam lined up with the hole in the case, but I have not seen this issue myself, and I certainly do my share of traveling. Did I mention that it’s 100% real leather? I just can’t stop talking about how good this case looks. In today’s competitive marketplace, look are everything, and the Bear Motion Case for the Motorola Xoom 10.1” Tablet is the best looking case out there.

Motorola has a nice gift for Oscar hosts and nominees of this year. Well, a gold Xoom tablet for the Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actors and Actresses and Best Director for this year’s Oscar show will be given by Motorola in a specially designed leather envelope style case. According to latest statements from Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha, it would be reasonable to have differently sized family of Motorola tablets. It would give more freedom in choosing the best suitable tablet for customers on different budget ranges. He mentioned about 7 inch tablets, tablets targeted to different demographics of customer demand like kids, women, teenagers etc. on Motorola’s earnings call.
Actually, it is an expected move after all and eventually all tablet device manufacturers will enlarge their tablet portfolio to different sizes — if we do not count the biggest 7 inch tablet opposition, Apple !
