First of all, we have a slimmer, more lightweight and faster Xoom as expected. The new tablet is now 0.22 pounds lighter. The new thickness is 8.8mm.

The under-standard screen is now replaced with the Gorilla Glass IPS one. Another improvement is apparent on the cut corners. Its aim is obviously to provide a better feeling at hands (while some claim that it is to secure the tablet from iPad design patent wars while making it unique in style)

The tablet feels very solid at hand and we don’t complain about aluminum construction. The tablet is now water resistant in full.

While the design and overall build and placement of buttons are strategically correct, the tablet lacks expansion slots. This is mainly because everyone is going to the cloud to store the files but we would still wait while the cloud tech matures.

We have speakers at the top and 5MP camera is in the center with the LED flash. We have micro-HDMI and micro-USB ports.

Surely, the new IPS screen (continuing the 1200×800 res level of Xoom 1) provides much more vibrant colors. The screen on the other hand is a magnet of smudges and fingerprints.

The new device has also 5mp camera with auto-focus feature. It generates nice photos and ability to see the photo in full size on the tablet surely is a plus. Now, you can take advantage of Skype video chats so 1.3 mp camera will have great use. On the other hand, video capture at 720p with 30fps sluggish and it is wise to close the other apps before taking video shots.

Motorola Xoom 2 running on 1.2GHz dual core ARM processor with 1GB of RAM surely performs much better than the first Xoom model. Interestingly, it even performed better in web browsing score than quad-core Transformer Prime tablet in according to Vellamo rating. The new Xoom tablet executes apps very fast and loads the webpages very quickly without problems.

Overall, we see lots of improvements on the original Xoom and it would be a nice experience to have this tablet with one condition. Affordable and competitive pricing is needed if Motorola wants serious competition to current Galaxy Tab 10.1 inch tablet and upcoming Asus Transformer.

Motorola says that they have developed better graphics in tablets, especially for the Media Edition. Obviously it targets media playback. So, they have provided 178 degree viewing angle on it. The shipments start from UK and Ireland. Ah, we almost have forgotten to say both tablets run on Android 3.2. According to specs, the 10.1 inch tablet is now 100 grams lighter than the original.

There is no price info yet but we believe it should bring a good price deal to become successful against the upcoming beast, Asus Transformer Prime tablet which will run on Quad core processor with a promised 14.5 hrs battery time!

There were a few things I didn’t like about this case. For starters, the rooCASE is a bit on the bulky side. I guess this is due to all the storage it allows for, but there isn’t much room for anything else in my purse with it inside. Also, the stand is a bit soft and collapses fairly often. This isn’t a hug deal for me since I don’t use it very often and having to get up every once and a while to push it back upright isn’t the biggest inconvenience in the world.

If you yearn for the days of old where all you needed was a go getter attitude and your trusty day planner, then this is the case for you. It has room for all other things that I still need to run my business. I would definitely buy this again.

The stand is fantastic and it allows me to use my bluetooth keyboard in my hotel room. I can’t even remember the last time I had to pull out my laptop outside the office, and the strong magnets keep it closed even when there is a strong gust of wind. Before I purchased this I had read that some people has issues with how the webcam lined up with the hole in the case, but I have not seen this issue myself, and I certainly do my share of traveling. Did I mention that it’s 100% real leather? I just can’t stop talking about how good this case looks. In today’s competitive marketplace, look are everything, and the Bear Motion Case for the Motorola Xoom 10.1” Tablet is the best looking case out there.

I’m glad I did. The leather exterior of the tablet case is very attractive and the interior is a soft microfiber that is very protective. My Xoom still looks brand new thanks to this case. I have read a few reviews saying that the holes did not line up with the case. I did not have this problem, but did notice that you cannot charge the Xoom while using this stand. This has not been a big issue for me as the Xoom has excellent battery life and I charge it every night.

There were a few things that did bother me about the Acase Motorola Xoom Leather Case. Although, it is difficult to see, there is an Acase logo right on the front of the case. I still cannot understand why companies insist on this. Also, I am a little worried about how secure the fit is, but have yet to have my Motorola Xoom fall out. The stand can slip sometimes and it takes a little bit of fiddling to get it to sit securely. This is a minor issue for me as I purchased this mainly as a portfolio type case and in that regard it performs well.

I would certainly consider purchasing the Acase Motorola Xoom Premium Leather Case again in the future.
